The AI bolts going into the engine are stuck. I have searched the archives with some results but. I can not find a 4" deep socket that will accomodate the tube. I have a 13 mm 12 point wrench but it feels like it wants to strip the head of the nut. I have used wd40. Should I try heat?
If I break the tube off so I can get a socket on the head of the bolt and fail to get it out, then I have only made matters worse.

if you havn't boogered the hex part up you can carefully cut it off and put a 6 POINT socket on it. Warming the engine up first may help to losen them some too. Exhaust will come out of the tube if you cut it, just so you know so I wouldn't warm it after you cut. Warm it up cut, remove, plug then repeat for the other side.

Back in the day when I did all my own stuff I had an impact driver. I wish I still had one. It was great for stuck and siezed stuff. The one I had took bits and sockets and was very useful with stuff like that. You don't need to exert as much force, and you aren't hitting the objects directly. I'd find me one of those puppies & some pen oil. Don't rush it. Tap and squirt liberally. You don't want to remove threads or round the head. It can cause cussing.
