Although the VT shooter legally bought the weapons I don't think he had a carry permit. Additionally, he was in a "No Gun Zone," where no carry permit holder is allowed to carry a firearm. If permit holders HAD been allowed to carry their firearms he may have been stopped much sooner.

The real meaning of no gun zones has been "Free Fire Zones." Most of the mass murders in the last few decades had been in "Gun Free Zones" where murderers could be assured their victims would be unarmed.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
