I actually bought the bike used without the lower shrouds, because my bike was lowered 2" in the front. I honestly think the bike wouldnt look right without the top shrouds. They there to make the bike a bit more bulky in the front. Without them the forks would probably look a bit too skinny in relation to the triple trees and headlight.
I will admit that ive never seen a picture of the bike without the upper shrouds, so I can only assume my opinion. I do like the look of the bike without the lower shrouds though.
