Well without being able to vouch for the competence of the article's editor...
I did however, start wondering why an RAF base would have a baseball diamond.
<edit> I missed the part about the base being used for USAF personnel - which explains both the standard MSF pattern and the baseball.
I'm an idiot, there's a USAF Airman Leadership Course on Feltwell, and I visited my buddy there a few years ago - D'oh!
