The other day I made a plate for my inspection sticker and a "parking permit" and attached it around the forks by using the brake caliper mounting bolts. Immediately after this mod the front brake has become noticably less firm when squeezed, and the caliper itself seems to move. Has anyone done anything like this? Is the plate not thick enough, or do I need to mount it somewhere else altogether? Thanks for your insight.
