Well, had another phone interview on Thurs of last week for a medical device company in Englewood, and it lasted a grand total of 7 minutes. In interviewing that's either GREAT news or the KISS OF DEATH!! Well, turns out it's good, they called today and want to fly me out for a face to face, so here we go again. Time to polish the shoes, dig out the tie, clean the crap out of my teeth and make like a politician....

Good luck. Don't forget to shop for a snowmobile during the summer while they're cheap. That way, you'll be able to ride all year.

Most cool. I had applied some time back to what I would call the dream job, at a place in Woodland Park (21 miles west of CO Springs, up IN the mountains!). This place looks more like a ski lodge than a engineering company, but I applied more on a whim than anything else, and as expected, never heard back from them. Well, last night they called, and want to talk to me on Monday, so now I have 2 prospects. Here's what their offices look like: Sturman Industries Just click on the Virtual Tour... I wonder if running the Ski Lift is one of the secondary duties?

Cool place that. Talk about creative freedom!! You could never be happy though with all that natural light, scenic landscape, relaxed atmosphere, and fireside meetings.... find a nice little cubicle somewhere ... hope you obtain your dream, buddy.... ride safe.... Gordon

Thanks Gordon. Yeah, that would definitely have to be negotiated. Put up some cubicle walls and blinds to block out all of those distractions. I'm sure they have something nice in the basement that I could be "content" with though.... Actually, seeing a place THAT nice, makes me wonder which drug cartel is behind it? (or is it like in the movie "The Firm"?

Greg ,DO NOT go to Woodland Park! It's probably the most unhealthy place to live in Colorado. It's all because of a place called the Doughnut Mill and their highly dangerous plate size apple fritters (among other nasty for you stuff) I gain 5 pounds every time I go through there. Somehow I can't help stopping.

Mike, thanks for that warning! Yeah, apple fritters are very dangerous for me. Every time I get near one, I have a severe allergic reaction which makes me buy a second one....

Bad news Greg! It looks like the doughnut mill is less than 2 miles from Sturman. Not Good. Mike

You will be eaten by bears or attacked by wolves.
If you think Litchfield ***** wait till you get a load of liberal land.
Well to each his own I know you have been wanting to move to CO for along time. So I hope it works out.

No worries about Liberals Poppy. Other than Boulder and some parts of Denver and the like, I have it from my grandfather that Conservatives rule in CO. I won't hold that against them though!!! It is the home state of Tom Tancredo after all....

That looks real nice! Wouldn't it be great if you received firm offers from BOTH companies! Best of Luck dude! Hopefully the job will work out and we'll get a chance to see you down the road very soon! (I work in the Tech Center, which was Englewood, but the rich folk in the million dollar homes around here, did not want to be associated with Englewood , so a section of the old Englewood became the lardie darr "Greenwood Village")

well all, FINALLY got a call to fly out for an interview for the medical manufacturing company I interviewed with (they had wanted me to fly out over Easter, but no chance I'm missing Easter with my sons for a "maybe" thing). It will be a challenge though, since I have my sons 12th birthday at 1:30 Sunday, and have to fly out at 5pm (the airport is a little over an hour away, but is a small one so I should be able to attend most of the party). We were supposed to have it this Sunday, but both my wife and I got hit by some kind of bug at the same time, but different symptoms, and were out for the count Sunday! Time to go get my matching dress white socks, sport suit and white patent leathers lined up for the big day(picture Randy Quaid in "Vacation"!!

Good luck, look us up if you move here, great weather and even better roads, some favorites up near Woodland park. Mostly liberal in Boulder, cool most everywhere else.
