Seems to me changing stuff to make it yours is part of the whole cruiser experience. To me it wouldn't be as much fun if I didn't change stuff. I was happy with my bike the way it was when I bought it, I didn't need more power or speed the riding position, while not what I would choose, was OK and didn't bother me. Only bike I ever had that I didn't change stuff on is my BMW and that isn't 100% true. I spent time putting it back to stock and replacing worn out stuff. It is the most uncomfortable bike I ever had too it makes my butt sore on long rides. Must be something about they shape of the seat. I often ride 80 MPH+ for very long distances, like from here to Laconia when I first bought it. Driving rain on the way up and brutal sun on the way back, bike was wonderful and never skipped a beat, ran triple digits many times on that ride. I ride up through Conn. and NY and back from here on a ride regularly so I disagree with most of it.
