I have the stainless hex screws installed.
I rejetted after the install,took me 3hrs,left carb is a ***** to do.
I am just using a regular 3mm allen wrench.
Is there a little trick to doing this?

I used an allen wrench socket with a 1/4 drive ratchet and short extension to break the bowl screws loose then spun them out with the extension. And the left side IS a pain in the butt...

I do the same as Chy. Makes it much easier to do.

Here's a tip for using a socket of any kind in tight places. Put one wrap of masking tape on the top of the socket or extension. This adds enough friction so you can work it with your fingertips. Remove the tape when you are done.

This is what i'v found somewhat helpful. Use one of the little hex bit's like you buy in a set. Take the bit add a short length of plastic tubing over the shank of the bit. I use some left over fuel line. Once you have broken the screw loose with a hex wrench or socket wrench you can then use the bit and hose which is flexable to finger the screw the rest of the way out. It's not great but it's the easiest way i'v found yet.

Sears sells some flat ratcheting 1/4" screwdriver handles that make this job a lot easier. I had a picture in my gallery, but removed it. Use these with metric bits and a lot of jobs are much easier.....

The set I bought had 3 handles in it, one flat, one up and one down. I had to get the metric bits from the Snap-On tool guy at work, but I think there are some available online at Wiha tools...

Try to find an angled screwdriver for bits (the bit turns when you turn the handle). I've got one and changing jets is a 10 min. job.

Here's what I use. Honestly don't know where to get it, friend gave it to me! But it holds screwdriver bits on one side, and fits a 1/4 socket wrench on the other. Basically it's a socket adaptor with a fat knurled wheel built in. Could probably do the whole job by hand with this one thing.

put the right bowl on last...it gives you an extra inch or 2.

125 Mains dropped back from 130.
1 shim.
T bike pipes.
Dynoed at 64.1hp with 120 mains & no shim.
I felt the midrange was lacking.
The bike seems to run better with 125 mains than the 130.

TBS needles no shims. Where are your air mix screws?

I was thinking of going to a 125 myself, or even the stock 120's. The 130's seemed to make it run a bit smoother, but they also seemed to have taken some of the power. I hate to go to the trouble since i may just find i want to go back to 130's, but i think i'm gonna try. Now i just gotta figure if i wanna order 125's or just use the stock 120's.

Benny, they sell them things at the counter at the Sears stores. They come in tons of sizes and shapes, only $2 too.

A note on jetting. As some of you may know, I switched to TBS needles awhile ago. Sure cured that little throttle slump in the mid-RPM range. Well guess what? They now have me running kinda rich so I ordered some jets (150 & 155) from Brent and got them this evening. I will try the 150s first and see what I get...

I did them last night. The real ******? I could not find my 3mm hex bit. Talk about a pain in the butt (with the regular L 3mm)!

Took her out for a ride and I believe I have lost some power. It's raining here today but tommorrow will be beautiful so I will get her heated up and sync the carbs and report back...

Good to know. This weekend, the same friend who gave me that sears knurled socket thing gave me one of those teeny little ratches for screwdriver bits!! I'm all ready to roll

Took a two hour ride and then synced the carbs and back out again.

I'm staying with the 150s.

Absolutely. I have a pair of very tight deerskin gloves and so I wear one and use a VERY short Phillips screwdriver I got from Harbor Freight.

btw, I will keep an eye on the plugs and adjust the jets accordingly...

Yeah lemme know how the plugs read. If I had half a brain I would have checked mine mid-ride coming back from pat's.
