Ooh, I have to disagree with you on that. The R90S was plenty powerful for its day and was at the time concidered quite a potent sport bike. I have always felt that the Boxer BMWs have bundles of character. I dont care to much for the K bikes, but the R's are fantastic. Ive had three Beemers, a R80RT, and R100RS and a K100. As I mentioned earlier,

The '75 R90/S I had only produced 55 HP. Not puny, but not outstanding either, even then. My 650 (far from stock) was good for over 50 HP and was a lot lighter. For that matter, my '76 Ironhead produced 61 HP stock (which it wasn't) from only 100CC more and was also lighter. It was way too tall, and it was the first bike I ever had with electric only starting. It was also the only one like that I had until the America unless you count the OL's '88 piglet. The handling wasn't bad, but not great either. In all, I would rate it as the 2 wheel equal to maybe a Dodge Dart with a 318 and Powerflyte.
