Ya know, the more I think about it the more I believe Pearl Harbor probably was the tipping point in our national attitudes. I don't believe the Germans actually attacked US soil (it's been a long time since I studied WWII) but the Japanese did and we all know how that turned out. Once that die was cast, everything else fed that hatred (the problems people people had with Japanese bikes as noted above being just one example). I also like the point that was made about it being a cruiser-community thing. What percentage of cruiser riders are veterans and patriots? Quite a lot I think.
