The rear pads on these bikes tend to wear out very quickly, as it's been mentioned by many members in the past. When I mentioned it to the dealer he suggested that I was resting my foot ont he brake pedal till I pointed out that I have floorboards and rest my foot on the side of them (nowhere near the pedal). The sintered metal pads last longer but cause more wear on the rotors and tend to squeak annoyingly at low speeds. I guess short rear pad life's just one of the quirks of this bike.
