Nah, just like most of the sci-fi nowadays on tv. Mostly soap opera with a little action thrown in.

Yep, it's OK so far. A bit too much soap opera though...

Been watching. Better than The Bionic Woman reboot, and the Knight Rider movie (anymore 70's or 80's shows they want to reincarnate and butcher? jeez) but I've got a little of the just-what-else-can-you-do-with-this-story blahs.

It's ok; it is full of holes. But the biggest one IMO is that skynet according to the movie was able to send a Terminator once in a while... (don't remember exactly why)if it was able to send so many like the series tell us why not send a huge army of 'em an annihilate us before judgment day? Why not program every single terminator to kill John Connor? there are a crap load of 'em... Sarah and the bodyguard wouldn't be able to fight that at all... bah this is just ****** me off... where is 24? I WANT 24 NOW!!!

Why not send one back to before Sara is born and kill her parents?

Yes lots of holes, but fun to watch. I like how true the show is to the movies.

Much like Superman Returns, I try not to think too much about the old movies... Trying to tie it all together, well, that way lies madness...

as far as tieing it in with the Connor Chronicles, they can get away with stuff because each time they get rid of someone who started Skynet they change the future and alter the whole timeline. So different people may live or die and dates may change, I can accept that.

So far it's one of the better "taken from the movies" tv series although I admit that it doesn't take much more than gas bombs and hi karate to entertain me when a series uses an impossible sci-fi premise. It'll be very interesting to see if they can manage to develop Summer Glau into a romantic interest for young John.

Now the Dresden Files is another matter altogether....

So far I really like it, but I can see where it will have a hard time staying around. Anytime you cannot allow your characters to succeed, because that ends the series, it can get formulaic quick.

Not to hijack, but that is why I only watched a little of Star Trek Voyager, because it was basically Gilligan's island in the 25th century. I love the episode when they ALMOST found a way home.

I don't think you guys will have too long to complain, from what I hear ratings aren't that good and it's already been put on the chopping block. Myself I've only had the chance to watch one episode, so not much to judge on, but it didn't keep me that engrossed.

Everything on TV sucks! All the series have soap opera plots which is not surprising considering the writers and the actors rotate regularly to and from daytime tv. The S.C. chronicles seem better than most but I thought the story had been adequately told with T-3. Now its just overkill and contridictory to the storyline established with the feature films. But they do blow a lot of stuff up tear up a lot of stuff.

Give BBC-A a try. There's some stuff there that uses real writers who can develop a theme and deliver a pay-off. "Waking The Dead" would be one of those...

Yeah, It's OK. Better than some, not as good as "Jericho". At least it's not another CSI clone. Maybe if they had some clones in CSI, it would be better.

SCI-FI shows like the Chronicals seem to lack the thrill of the original movies and in partically the SCI-FI channel seems to be worthless, unless you like ghost hunters, since it seems it is on every night. Kind of like The Discovery Channel and a 24/7 Myth-buster vigils.
