Now that tax time is over, and I have about 2000 miles on her, I can get down to some better riding (weather has been great here for riding, but really lacking in the rain department). I have had a few PM's and will post some more info here now as a copy paste.
The RIIIT handles much better than the classic I rode. The classic tried to "stand up" through the corners for me. This bike handles almost as well in the corners as my BA does. As I am getting acquainted with the new bike I get comfortable enough that I have dragged the foot rests a dozen times or so, and did not feel as I was pushing it. The stock windshield is not tall enough for me at 6' and this is a consensus for the RIIIT owners. The buffeting is all but null and comes with the quick release. But the stock windshield pushes the air right into my face along with all the bugs and road sand/dust. The taller shield from Triumph is way over priced for me at almost $500.00.
The only real issues I have is the windshield and the tank. It is very hard to get a FULL tank of gas because of the neck. But I nurse it in and can get almost 6 gal from empty. MPG is running between 36-40 depending on how I am riding it. Not great, but not bad for what the bike is.
BA has Freak, 160mains, 44pilots, air mix3 1/2 to 4 turns, BUBS dresser dogs. Never had more fun on any bike - 2nd bike 2008 RIIIT
