In Ian's defense Phil, I too am not overly pleased with the responses and attitude I had with a double charged order with a certain vendor. I was a very happy camper and loyal customer up to that point. I no longer am. This may be a post about some of the positives but people should also be allowed to share any negative interactions as well. Isn't that what these conversations on this forum are all about, sharing experiences as they relate to the topic?

NO MORE DISAGREEING PEOPLE! What the h - e - double - toothpicks are you thinking?!

As for Eddy, can enough be said about the man. Geez, I had to drink beer with the man whilst this growth sprung forth from his eye and tried to attack us all. It was truly a frightening experience but he made all good by ordering up another round and telling jokes about some guy named ol'Squinteye. LOL

Any thread that is about any subject will solicit more than one reaction, its only normal that with the good, any negatives will get aired, and its as it should be. For the praise is great when deserved, but if any negatives are out there, then it can only inspire better performance and perhaps a internal check to see what causes the grievances.

That said, the positives easily outnumber the greivances.

I have been a customer of Eddy and of Brent and have been satisfied with both. I will not hesitate to buy from either again.

I've now ordered from Brent twice and FastEddy a couple of weeks ago. No problems. Brent's disclaimer says he will ship in up to 5 business days. I think he shipped to me both times in 1 day. Fasteddy's supplier was out of air filters and he called me at home and at work re that, and also if I needed master link for my chain. When I didn't get right back him he sent the master link with the new chain anyway. Not many people would go that extra mile. Plus both gentlemen support this site and many of the rallys. I don't think most people realize what they have to deal with having so many suppliers and overseas shipments and all. Thanks Brent and Eddy for your hard work! Without you all there would not be a good source for aftermarkets BA.America/Speedmaster parts.

I guess I could have just said Ditto to Yota, but I do tend to go on and it's Sunday. What better day for a sermon.

pos. and neg. interactions are best shared together so people can compare and while both are fresh in their heads. There is no harm if there is nothing to hide. why don't you get this bent when people are saying Bike Bandit is slow in a pos. thread?

Positive only thread? Whats the point in reading 150 satisfied posts?

Opposing sides should be welcome...god bless america

IAN WAS ABLE TO GET HIS MONEY REFUNDED THE DAY HE POSTED THIS...this means people are reading and paying attention to whats posted here...This means his post was valid, and worth posting.

And it shouldnt matter if youve read his complaint before, this was the first time ive read it, and could be the first time others will read it.

I think the issue is that the thread is titled "Lucky to have the vendors we have" not "Let's b!tch about these vendors." That's a whole other thread and feel free to start that discussion. If people wanna gush about these business, fine. Do I want to read any of it? Heck no. It's annoying and doesn't add much to the discourse. But now I feel the need to comment. Dangit.

Look, nobody's perfect. In this day and age people have gotten spoiled. I can't remember how many times I got screwed in the 80's buying custom VW parts mail order from California, living in Montana. Sometimes it was mistakes, sometimes it was criminal (literally). Nowadays with the internet and cheap express shipping, everyone wants things right this minute and if anything, any little thing, goes wrong, it's an unmitigated disaster and that vendor is the devil.

Mistakes happen but the vast majority of their customers seem to be happy (including me) which speaks volumes. I've read some negative stories over the years and frankly, not mentioning any names, I side with the vendor. People sometimes jump to conclusions or don't do their due diligence or they get impatient. But then these people, admittedly they are few, take every opportunity, and I'm not referring specifically to anyone in this thread, to bad mouth the vendor.

I've never had any problems with the vendors mentioned, even when things are backordered or a production run isn't finished yet and I have to wait an extra week or two. Boo. Hoo.

The only vendor I've had a problem with on this forum I never bought anything from and wasn't included in the original post that started this thread. But everyone else seems to love this dude so I won't rehash it (for the umpteenth time).

Jeez, that got long...

Exactly..this is my issue with this whole thing. Why should it be an unwritten law if its making the website boring?

Threads in here are mixed with good and bad, and its never an issue...the only reason why this one was picked up was because phil had a problem with it.

The title doesnt say "good comments about vendors only" it says.... "lucky to have the vendors we have"

thats an opinion, and opinions have opposing opinions that should be welcome....we do it here everyday and never think twice about it. Why was it a problem in this thread?

I had a problem with it too. When a problem occurs with a vendor get it sorted out. Don't cry to us about it repeatedly, over the course of months. Sounds like you want people to know how stupid you are in taking months to get something sorted. Sometimes reading what one writes is what it is all about. The dog started out on this site by posting just for the sake of increasing his post count and here he is over a year later, rambling on and on and on.
