In oz currently between $1.40 - $1.50 (Australian) / litre depending on the day (cheaper on Tuesdays for some reason) at 46p per ozzy dollar thats errm jeeze - a lot less - a bit more than half 80p/litre ? .

1 US gallon = 3.78541 litres
1 Imp gallon = 4.54609 litres

I never realised there was such a big difference between US and Imperial gallons - I guess in the UK Hoss Cartwright would have only been wearing an 8 gallon hat
Anyway, for that reason I am sticking to litres cos the us/imp gallon thing is confusing!

I have a ute which runs on LPG at around 70-80 cents (Australian) thats about 40p / litre. A month or two ago it was only 50c/litre. LPG seems to go up with the cost of petrol. Now I know petrol companies wouldnt rip me off, so why is that?

Governments dont care if fuel prices go up - its a stealth tax - petrol dearer, tax is % of price - government gets more money out of your pocket. Better still they can blame petrol companies or world oil prices. The only problem is the mass of the population believe them !
