Thought I would just pop in to say that I saw the band in Falmouth, Cornwall recently. They are due to visit the US in April and I would thoroughly recommend anyone to see them. http://www.originalasia.com/Lineup consists of: Steve Howe (formerly guitarist with YES) Carl Palmer (formerly drummer with Emerson, Lake and Plamer) John Wetton (formerly bass guitarist with King Crimson) Geoff Downes (formerly keyboards with Yes and the Buggles) What a great display of British progressive Rock!

I have absolutely no doubt about that.
I saw Carl Palmer and his band in Italy at the beginning of December (this was my second time).
Fantastic! (although I admit to being biased ... have been ... for a long time )

I remember Asia. Bought all their albums when they came out. I never really saw them live, but did see a live concert of them on MTV, if I remember right it was called "Asia Live In Asia". That must have been like 1983 or 1984.

Waaaaaaaay, way back when I saw them in Norfolk, Virginia area, when they were touring for their first album. They even did an autograph session at a record store, although the signed LP is long gone. I remember both Geoff Downes and Steve Howe being pretty friendly guys. One minor correction, Steve Howe is not the former guitarist for YES. He is still the guitarist for YES and there are rumours of a 40th anniversary tour this summer. Chris Squire drops hints of this on his website, Rick Wakeman schedule seems free after his little tour around the UK in April-early May and Asia finishes their world tour in May. Nothing against Asia, I like some of their stuff, but I am a hard-core Yes-man.

Conwy, of course, you are absolutely right! My mistake! Whether Asia or Yes, Steve Howe is a brilliant guitarist.
