The bars in the picture don't look like the standard dresser bars. There is a reference on the Triumph site to a new heavy duty highway bar for the America but no picture. I'm thinking these are designed for that highway bar. I have the dresser bars and I'm not sure these would work on them.

I remember seeing an aftermarket "Crash" Bars but I did a quick search through my links and can't find it now for some reason, can't even remeber who made them, they are square like and would work with those pegs.

Ron, I checked on the pegs as well. They were definitely designed to attach to the new 08 bars for the America/Speedmaster. I would assume they would fit other aftermarket bars that are the same diameter. I don't know if the new ones are the same diameter as the original dresser bars.

The Triumphe Store has pictures of the new bars and peg set ups. You have to buy the pegs, either the fixed or adjustable mount, and have the new dresser bars. I've bought from this company which is usually 10-15% off. Here's a link. Scroll down the page to see the new dresser bars/pegs. The whole hwy. peg package is very pricey. I kinda like the short mount better than the adjustable one. More compact, less visual hardware. New bars/pegs

Bob, Thanks for posting that link. It looks like I'll have to replce my dresser bars for the new one if I want those highway pegs. More $$$$$$ oh well.

What's the diameter, Kenneth?? If anybody takes the plunge and buys these, let us know what diameter bar they fit. That would help a bit....

The redesigned carsh bars for the speedy and america are nice. Solid attachment points and rigid tubing. The attachment points where the highway pegs mount to those redesigned bars were showing signs of rust on the 08 demos at Daytona.

Once you get it all on the bike, please post a pic. I'd love to see more than just close ups of the parts.

That looks very good. Cant wait to see a good picture. I still need a good highway peg setup for the summer runs.
The adjustable peg mount might be the answer for those of us with extended inseams.
At 300 schimoleans for the whole deal its not a bad buy

FYI.......I also went and ordered these ......and they are NOT currently in stock anywhere according to the man I spoke to at MADDS.
Strictly a new item and not expected to be available until perhaps May. He gave me an opportunity to cancel the order but I have kept it open so I will get the items as soon as Triumph starts shipping them to the US.
From photos of the new engine dresser bar and the adjustable peg mount it appears I will be able to fully extend my long legs with the adjustable mount turned forward to allow the most leg room possible.

Madss is very good. I had ordered the Sissy Bar when they were backordered everywhere. Waited over six weeks, and I was starting to get a bit apprehensive. However, as soon as they came in Madss sent them out. Very happy with their service and if you have any problems just call Scott. He is great to deal with.

I considered buying these then posed on the bike to imagine the ride. I have a Corbin seat with a backrest and Buckhorn bars with 1" spacers under them on my 03 TA. I have the original engine crash bars as well.
My legs are too long for this. With my feet in the assumed position that these highway pegs would provide, I feel like I'm either going to give birth or am awaiting a colonoscopy...
That might signal "comfort" to some, but I think I'll pass.

but with the new engine guards (I beleive most of us on this thread have) and an offset mount these may well just be the ticket for a comfy ridind stance for longer journys.
I ordered the Kuryakyn (7999) Large ISO Offset for 1 1/4" bars. Waiting for them to arrive (next week).

I purchased the new crash bars and also the rotating/adjustable peg mounts. You can adjust these to your comfort level.
I have long legs also but they are ok to me
