You may not see this post but I'll give it a shot.
I did a search in the forums for the word "Tacoma" and this post was one of them. I took note of a couple of things, one of them being your avatar Welsh flag.
Question: it sounded as if you were laid up previously. Are you back out riding yet and if so, beyond the organized rides posted here, would you be interested in a few local rides??
Me: old guy 51 just getting back into bikes after many years.

Do a little more reading...LOL, I'm still laid up!! Between healing, physical therapy and an upcoming lengthy trip to Australia, I don't expect to be back on a bike (assuming I can find another 07 TBA) until September. 
I like your last name, we might share distant relatives from my mother's side. 
There's a good small group of us, in the general Seattle area that will meet up and ride together  . Zmilin is the unofficial ride captain, his girlfriend Kford will ride sometimes (and even play ambulance driver too!), Wazzukirk will join us when he's not busy advising Bill Gates, Oilleak & odatbob are also good guys to ride with.
I suggest you just follow the Seattle area threads and meet up with the gang. None of them are wild & crazy riders and they will have your back if you have problems.
