We had our first nice day today in Chicago after a dreadful winter. I started my '07 America, and it runs so rough, stalls frequently, and has nasty exhaust, more so from one pipe than the other.

Is this normal after sitting all winter? Is there anything special I should do to ease it out of hibernation?

Appreciate the help.

John

Try some fresh gas and Seafoam, or some other fuel system cleaner.

Drain the tank, the float bowls and dump that old gas in the lawn mower and start out with a fresh tank. Check your airbox as well, they make great nests in the winter for several small species of wee furry critters.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)

I put sea foam in all my motors(outboard, motorcycle, ice auger, lawnmowers, and the list goes on.Especially if i have to store for winter. Not just in the gas but i spray it in the carbs on last shut down.Keeps the carbs lubed and gas fresh. They smoke a bit on start up in the spring but it clears.Ive never had to disassemble carbs and clean them, not to say I wouldnt if I took them off for one reason or another.Cant say enough about sea foam great product.(no I am not a dealer of the product)
