I have found that if you ride over bumpy roads, that the lgnition coil leads can come loose, so I would imagine that the leads to the CDI would, as well. I took the precaution of di-electric greasing the ignition coil leads, then used plastic zip ties to secure them. Have had no problems since then. Next time I have my fuel tank off, I'll do the same to the CDI.
