I have always had the greatest respect for the British Royal Family, sure they can be a bit fuddy duddy at times, but unlike some other countries Royals and politicians, they have never shied away from serving in times of need. Well done 'arry boy. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/7269743.stm

Looks like he's right up there in the thick of it. Good on him, keeping up the tradition like George the dragon slayer and Richard the lion hearted.

God bless him.. I think the press has been quiet because they did not know. Now the freaking bone heads have put the word out and made him a target..anything to sell a paper I guess.

Respect to Harry and all the guys out there and Iraq making the country proud.
Hopefully if the MoD can pull so many strings to keep his presence quiet then maybe they should pull a few more and sort out the shoddy way they deal with the troops and their families on a day to day basis.
Before the war on terror, if I saw an unattended package I used to think "I'll be having that!"

There are no free passes for a all volunteer armed forces.

What do you mean???

Are you trying to imply that Charles is not Harry's dad??
Princess Di categorically stated that her affair with Hewitt began after Harry was born - the similarities between them are just a coincidence!!
Back to the main thread - fair play to Harry for going when he didn't have to.

Courage to serve, to do the job, to put one's self on the line is deserving of the highest respect and praise. Given his station, its a beautiful thing to see such patriotism and courage and commitment.

Fair play to Harry. Kicked up a fuss because they wouldn't send him. On the quiet he went and now some dick head has published the fact. WHO'SE A BULLET MAGNET NOW and all his comrades are at more risk. The guys that make this sort of thing public should be placed in the front line and lets see how they feel. You could use the same argument about women in the front line. I know that the 'esprit de corps' is nurtured to make you look after your buddies and vice versa, and some women are probably tougher than a lot of men but I think the natural male instinct to protect the female of the species would govern their behaviour in a dangerous situation which would make them behave 'differently'.
Maybe they train them to ignore that instinct these days?
In the UK,the pregnancy rate amongst serving 'Seamen' (I avoided the spelling pun) having conceived during their tour is very high and has been the subject of a few courts marshal.
I only hope that Jolly Jack Tar and Jenny Wren manage to get the making of the double backed monster out of their system before they sound battle stations !

Thats a shame, but under the circumstances, probably a wise move.
I still take my hat off to the guy though. He was born into a world where he does not need to lift a finger for anyone or anything, and yet he volunteered to stand in harms way in order to safe guard our freedom.

They showed him the other night wearing a tan ball cap with what looked like what we in the American military refer to as a 'subdued' American flag sewn on it. I LOVE this kid!!

Its not a proper royal family!!! Not like the good old days He should be LEADING the troups wearing his crown and banner - and wheres the speaches! Henry V - now he gave speaches! "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition; Make him a member of the gentry, even if he is a commoner. And gentlemen in England now-a-bed Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day." Ok - so he had some help from Shakespear - but THATS a king! Not "Ooooh - they know I'm here, I had better go home before someone gets hurt"; Wheres the honour in THAT! P.S. Henry V beat the French outnumbered 10 to 1 at the battle of Agincourt

The Drudge Report that the prince was in Afghanistan is the principal reason for his being sent home. Some of the main advertisers who support the Drudge Report are Princess Cruises, Vonage, and Classmates.com. As a sometime or regular customer of all of these companies, I have informed them that I am closing my accounts and will not use them again unless they inform me within 30 days that they have pulled all of their advertising from the Drudge Report. Look on the Drudge website for other advertisers if you feel the same.

If it wasnt Drudge, would it not have come from the group that interviewed him? Of course, they may well have leaked the "out" to Drudge on purpose, as to have an outlet for their story. To leak it out takes the sting out and makes a story you would have to hold instantly relevant and then able to be used or benefit.
Boycott all you want, but I think it a simplistic and futile endeavour.

Hi Brummie,
I actually originate from the Socialist republic of South Yorkshire.
I have trouble deciding which side I am on when the ashes come around.
If ya send a gun boat who should I support
I've only been back in oz 2 years, bought my TBA in Stockport and shipped it over with me. Wish I hadnt bothered cost me a fortune, and would have been easier to buy one here.

My mate shipped a Daimler Dart and a Velocette Venom over to Sydney in 1988. He left out most of his wife's heirloom furniture to make room for them in the container. She was well pi$$ed when they got to their new house !

Nah - Its raining in Sydney today well was earlier now watching superbikes at Phillip island.- went to watch Mardi Gra once to see what the fuss was about. Only good bit was the 'Dykes on bikes'. The rest were mostly like mr Burns from the simpsons, or the little bald guy Benny Hill used to slap on the head. All in baggy shorts or speedos dancing up the street behind a variety of banners with political statments.
So your advice is support the winner
got to go Mccoy on triumph up to front - GO mccoy !!!
