Having read all the reactions here, the twists and turns and inevitable insults, perceived or intended, there is still just one conclusion - someone is dead, and several people will pay the price.

I heard this "news item" discussed on 2 talk radio shows. Both hosts immediately responded with the "dirtbag biker" scenario.
We can rant and rave all we want, but to this day, in the public's eye, any incident involving a motorcyclist evokes the "dirtbag/hooligan/social deviant" image.

We need to change that by example. Shake your head and ride away. Stop where you are and call the police. Don't figure you can change years of biker image by reasoning with someone - it just won't work.
