Politics are not allowed here so I will not argue the virtue of preserving the Bill of Rights intact. Please show the same respect for the rules and do not argue for gun control here.

Bogie:

An observation is different from an argument, and I made no argument for 'gun control.' However, I observed that there are inherent weaknesses in the constitution which - specifically in this case, the second amendment - should be examined for possible amendment to update it in consideration that we are not living in the same unpopulated and mostly rural era with breech loading muskets as when this particular amendment was written. I also observe here that it is a beautiful and marvelous thing that we have a living constitution which allows it to be amended from time to time with the consent and ratification of its citizens through our sacred democratic process.

And, I happen to enjoy shooting guns myself (although I don't own one), and I support legal and humane hunting (even though I have no desire to hunt) as well as a citizen's right to defend self, home, and other property with appropriate means - to include lethal force if necessary.

But thanks for your own valued observation. I'll give it the consideration it is due and file it appropriately, so that I may refer to it if ever again I need such advice on what is and what is not 'allowed' to be said here.
