Sounds more like they cut him off, gave him the finger, after they hit him. He probably followed to get their information to take further action.
Thank goodness those girls called their armed daddy rather than the police. And double thanks that Daddy called the police after his girls hung up the phone too. Dads with guns are always the best choice over the police. If that were my boy, his safest place is in jail as his life expectancy would be seriously limited.
