Well guys I know some of my American friends may be interested in booking holidays for 2009 so here is one idea that may sway your mind. It is hoped to have 50 models from each year of production on show, 2500 Bonnevilles in one place. Please follow the link shown below.

Thats a good museum and in the same area you have the Triumph Factory and Coventry Transport museum. both worth a look if you are coming from abroad.

Sounds like it woud be a good meet for us in 09 as they have camping on site.

Sure you can I am about 350 miles from the Museum and site but if ye are ever over in Scotland make sure ye let me know. I would be glad to meet up and have a beer or three same goes for any BA members visiting gods own country. I will apologise before hand for our neighbours <koff> England but we dont hold it against against them unless its a football or rugby international....emmm make that any sport.

I agree UK meet or Euro meet, the meet in the UK in May has brought a lot of people together for the first time, so this would be great..

I don't if I'm going to the Euro Rally this year - not because I don't want to, but I'm not sure if my back will be up to it - but I think this should be the Euro meet 2009.

And I already had the site book marked....

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

This is going to be a great event and I am wondering if we should have our UK rally here next year.

I would suggest that it could be a great opportunity for a really big UK or Euro meet.

Not that i'm biased but Gaydon is in Warwickshire, which has one of the best castles in the world at Warwick, has Stratford on avon just up the road, is about an hour and a half away from London, not far from the Coventry transport museum, not far from the Triumph factory at Hinkley (I reckon if we approach the right people we could posssibly arrange a factory tour)and wouldn't be too far to get a nice ride out around the Cotswolds.

Most importantly there are some cracking pubs around and the following week I believe it may be the Bulldog bash which is the biggest UK bike meet and it's held just up the road at Long Marston.

Just my opinion though.

If any of our friends over in the US/Canada, fancy this then I have a spare onsuite bedroom or if we move before hand a bedroom which I would make available. I would also be willing to pick you up from Manchester airport no charge for the room etc. You would need to get your ticket.

Something to ponder about....

The wife and I are more than happy to help with accomodation for anyone who wants to come to this event from across the pond.

All you need to worry about is the airfare and some spending money.

Thats my good deed for the day done!

Uuuuummmmm, next years meet at Gaydon, now let me think..........
Can only see one slight issue, by the time I arrive at Gaydon, I won't have put my choke all the way in!!!!!
Still suppose I could take big tent in car, then come back for bike. hehe.
Could even come home to sleep!!!!!
Checked it out today, door to door 5min 37sec. hehe
Hey I could win prize for shortest ride!!!!

Holy crap, this is deja vu!
People attending bike meets in cars ..... going home to sleep!

Next, they'll just want to meet in a pub ......

I agree UK meet or Euro meet,

For it to be a Euro meet, you would need the agreement of "the usual suspects" that they want to come over here for it, otherwise its just going to be a UK meet.

The upside if they do agree is that most of the UK members of this site would be able to finally get to attend a Euro meet!!

Agree with you Shaun.

But the downside is that they'll miss the good roads and the cheapness of traveling around Europe amongst other things.

Germany, Sweeden, Italy I think it's about time it is held in the UK, you would of course get more from the UK attending especially with it being a big birthday for the Bonneville. It will also attract people from further a field as well..

I will be attending the 50 years celebration if it's a UK meet or Euro meet. What makes a good meet is the people attending not the venue or place..

Why?? Are there no other countries in Europe - I had better go and check my atlas! Just checked and Spain, Portugal, Greece etc are all still there!!( Gotta stop Bedouin winning "furthest travlled" somehow!!)

Wouldn't bet on that- there are some that seem to have an aversion to travelling more that 100 miles from home!!

Majority of people from Europe on Bonnevilleamerica.com are in the UK.

Granted the majority of them tend to not travel out of the UK for one reason or another.

Not wanting to put anyones nose out of joint but how can you decide on where the next Euro Rally is going to be when you haven't spoken to all the people that have attended the past 2 Meets in Germany & Sweden & who will also be attending in Italy People that have travelled from Poland, Sweden, Germany, Greece & the UK have surely earnt the right to be consulted.

Now I know I no longer ride a Triumph but as one of the original "old farts" that went to the first meet in Wales in the winter and organised the first meet in Germany, I would hope my opinion would be valid.

By all means have another UK meet but please don't assume that you can speak for or organise all the other members in Europe.

Sorry if this upsets anyone but that it my two pennies worth

Martyn If you have to ask why I ride, you wouldn't understand the answer!
