I'm a new biker meself. Except for the occasional rough road conditions and insane drivers out there (I-5 through Seattle can be a real mess at times), I have no problems zipping along the highways.
Last year, I was out and about and came across a couple of olde H-D bikers at a stoplight. They rumbled and roared, tossed their butts and twisted away when the light turned green, thinking I was going to be left behind. They were not too happy to find me, still on their tail at the next light, where they again tried to outrun me.
I'm no real speed demon (which is why I did not buy a crotch rocket), but I am very happy with the performance of my Blue/White '07 TBA.
