You said it, sport bike. That was my assertion in the beginning. Its driving behavior.

Most Likely to be in a Crash: 1. Suzuki GSX-R; 2. Suzuki TLR; 3. Kawasaki ZX-R; 4. Honda CBR; 5. Yamaha YZF-R.
I think I said something earlier about the GSXR and CBR. Its the horsepower and attitudes that buy them that drive the rates. Not the gear.
The first party losses like theft are born with the higher full coverage costs. Liability is the law so I just used that one. All others are optional unless you borrowed money on it. Then thats a complaint you would have with your bank and your banking decisions.
I find the most likely to be stolen a real hoot. They are probably the most likely to tank in depreciation and not be able to be sold for the payoff to the bank.
Go figure Kinda like house fires are about to be on the rise very soon.

Where do you think the rest of the money comes from?
It comes from the law of large numbers generated from the actuarial crunching for risk. Where do you think the money came from for many of the wasted livers, and brains of your employers in the music industry came from on their many, many trips to the ICU for just having fun? They factor that too and the bar industry. If there is an activity or occupation they have studied it and applied a risk factor to it. Everybody pays for it. Most in the music industry have no health insurance but I bet they get sick. How dare them smoke, drink, and drug on my dime
They look at overall risk and charge premium for the behavior and the exposure. Your fight is with the Stats on the sport bikes. That is where you are taking the hit. Gear is not factored nor are closed head injuries. The stats are not captured for helmet or no helmet. Anyone who says they are is telling you a lie. NHTSA has no hard stats on it.
They factor law suits, injury claims, property damage claims, and collision. The health insurance industry factors in macro numbers where Cancer, Heart, and Vascular are killing them and their bottom lines. Head trauma is a drop in the bucket to them compared the big 3. Yet they still make billions.
When Alabama passed the helmet law did they reduce health insurance rates? No way
