Dead people don't drive up costs so it's really not about the gear saving them, it's about the $250K that an average head injury costs. Surely your policy doesn't cost you that much, yet if you fall off your bike at the curb like Gary Busey, that's what the repair will run. Where do you think the rest of the money comes from?
