That has nothing to do with what the rider may or may not be wearing. Sports bikes cost more to insure because they cost more to repair. All that body work costs a fortune to replace. Inadition to the fact that they are more powerful.

When i had two bikes on my insurance, (TBA and the Suzook TL1000) 75% of the insurance rate was to cover the TL. Same rider rode both bikes and I wear the same amount of gear regardless of what i am riding. Helmet, jacket, gloves and boots.....always.

I've never heard of an insurance company asking you what you wear while riding before issuing a quote.
