The old helmet arguement again.
It cannot be resolved.
PA has a helmet law. After riding licensed for the prescribed time and "coming of age" you have freedom of choice.
Gear or no gear, the wrong circumstances will kill you. I wear a helmet - a shorty in summer (the same one the police wear) and a full face when it gets cold. It makes my wife happy. It makes all the people who don't have a clue about riding think I am a responsible adult...
But if you don't use what's inside the helmet all the safety gear in the world won't save you.
Ride your own ride. Don't worry about being "cool" and fitting in. And don't listen to the badasses who give you crap because you aren't as dumb as they are.
