Just a note about wearing your gear. For years I didn't. I was real lucky when a car pulled out in front of my by my house and did a sommersalt over his hood. Since I got the 04 TBA I've been pretty religous about wearing my gear.
I was on a weekend ride with my RAT group in Northern Minnesota last august and went down on a corner on a gravel road. Was only going about 25MPH. Thank God I had all my leathers and helmit on. No road rash! My chaps, jacket and helmit was scratched up, but better them than my hide. Minor dmage to bike and some pulled shoulder muscles.
