just a udate on my bike!  triumph modified 'off rd pipes'with a rejet,k&n filter with bottom removed[an airbox bottom!]removed snorkell,19t & 142t sprocketts,results are great!cruises lovely now!nice an relaxed,70mph all day!!!no stressed engine feel an wantin to go into sixth gear!! slightly sluggish at take off but no real problem still beat all the cars!! with luggage an steep hill starts as well!but with a heavy pillion may need to fit 18t[i am a lightweight!] again!!!once away accelaration is brill!!and i am returning about 58mpg on a run! [i dont hang around]does the fuel sound about right?hope this is of some use to someone.ps i havent had a pillion on the bike yet[billy no mates me!]so havent tested the pull away with 19t.

mpg sounds great actually, i think your right up there with the best that i ever heard out of these, best i could ever get was about 50. did you rejet? you are taking more air in and getting a lil more out so if you did not rejet you are def lean and should adjust to avoid any motor damage

it should have been rejetted at the shop when they fitted the exhausts,however i mus check the plugs![keep fporgettin]i did 172 miles recently an used 13.5 litres give or take a splash or two!works out 57.95mpg[imperial gallons]

20% difference Frank. Thats about 50MPG U.S. Gallons. I think Imperial is 1.2 U.S. Gallons. Something to do with the Brits don't measure stuff correctly  I have a 19T sprocket too and will never take it off.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.
