So Im actually working but have time between classes to start thinking about the second meet n greet n ride...maybe. What are you all in the mood for? You want a destination where we can meet, hang and chat again or do we want to meet n ride? Here are my thoughts so far: 1) we meet and ride north and do a loop through Bellingham and stop at the Triumph dealer in Bham. 2) we meet and ride west and do a Kitsap loop. 3) we ride south and ride to the coast (Grays Harbor area). 4) we ride south and maybe arrange to meet up with some Portland folks. suggestions welcome.

Soren usually starts a thead for a meet-up at Sowerbys in Chehalis,Wa in April. Sowerbys is a british pub. But last year it conflicted with the Levenworth alefest web page So I was'nt able to go. But, I'am always ready to meet-up. Larry

If the roads are decent, I'd suggest a ride north. That makes it easier for our Canadian (and Scottish) brothers/sisters to join up with us. I didn't know there was Triumph dealer in Bellingham, wouldn't hurt to pay them a visit. Maybe they will buy us coffee?? give us t-shirts?? a souvenir pen?? But any destination sounds ok to me, assuming I am in town and available. Eventually, I am going to have to tackle riding through Portland, in order to get to Lincoln City, OR and Eureka, CA. As it is, I get a little nervous riding I-5 through Seattle.

I should rename this so its a bit more specific...maybe "Seattle area meet n greet". At least untill it gets warmer and we are all willing to travel on an overnighter or the days get longer.

Perhaps the Leavenworth Ale Fest would be a good destination and worthy TBA M&G venue? I've wanted to ride up to Leavenworth anyway, got as far as Steven's Pass last fall. I'm sure Soren can schedule around it. Thoughts?

I was thinking the same thing...ride out there...stay the night get some beer on...yeah!
But for this Seattle thing I was thinking something sooner weather permiting. Maybe March 8/9th. Someone mentioned that in the previous NW thread.

Is the British restaurant in Snohomish still there? I remember visiting it a couple of times when I lived in Woodinville back in 2000.

oilleak...Sowerbys is now defunct...the owner closed up shop and from what I understand moved back to England. I know Soren is still trying to plan a Wa/Or meet n greet. Im in on that one whenever it happens.

Sounds like a good plan. Although I might pass on the beer since I'm riding. I'm not familiar with Chuckanut Drive.

ok...so how does this sound for March 8th (weather permiting). btw...if we do the 9th Champion Cycle probably wont be open. We launch officially from Snohomish (British restauraunt for breakfast @ ?? am, Ill find out if when they open and if I know who will meet Ill see if theyll hold an area for us). I would say earliest would be 9am for breakfast and roughly a 10am ish departure. We ride to Champion Cycle via Hwy 9. Ill contact Champion Cycle and see if he has Ts (Celt...Ill see if he can sew a couple together for ya ). From there we head south via Hwy 11 (awesome road, twisty and narrow so itll be a slower go but awesome. Well do a picture too at one of the pull offs). Then to Hwy 237 (for a nice straight away break) to Conor for a rest stop at Conor Tavern (adult beverages optional). Then head back to home form there...options are: * I 5 slab for the quick escape. * hwy 9 for the not so quick escape. * south on 532 thru Tulalip back to I5 or Hwy9 for a bit more scenery. I have mapped it and its looking like 156 miles from Snohomish to Snohomish. I know the title says Seattle but ALL are welcome and encouraged. Soren...I know its a haul but you think some Portland riders want to join the festivities?

Sowerby's closed down, so I have been searching for another place. It's been a NW Rat meet and greet. Not for just us that ride Speedys and Americas. So a NW meet and greet for just us is awesome. I did schedule the Idaho invasion for just us a couple years in a row, last year I was not able to do it because of other circumstances.

I have to be honest...it sure looks good when there is a group of Americas/Speedys sitting together.

If the weather is decent enough for me to handle the 175 miles at 5:00 am when I leave here, then yes, I'll ride.

Ok, so I finally bought a new helmet. It's the same one Odatbob has so if you have issues with it, Bob has got my back on this one....LOL
My fiancee took the old Hawaiian/Tiki/Camo helmet over and is at the range right now taking her MSF class, so if (I should say when) she passes, I am thinking she wants to get a new Bonneville Black...at least her "new" helmet will match! LOL

Don't worry Kirk, I'll bring some permanent magic markers next week, in lovely pastel colors, so we can do up your new lid right. Maybe even get some little umbrellas from some tropical drinks that we can duct tape onto the sides. Enjoy the weekend!! I even see some sunshine out there today..woohoo!!
