I have just had a very short call from the national distributor in Greece for Triumph (a friend of mine) whom I saw last week (actually, he got his assistant to call me) who gave me the following much-awaited info on the mid-sized Triumph cruiser:

a/ It will be called the THUNDERBIRD.
b/ It will be a 1600cc TWIN.
c/ It will be WATERCOOLED.
d/ It will have 6 gears.
e/ It will have EFI disguised as carbs.
f/ It will produce 95 hp.
g/ They will be officially launched in September '08.

They ordered six initial units today.
