having had enough of scrapeing the mufflers after fitting the 412's i got from oldroadie thought it time to do something about it
i removed the mounts and attacked the with a 54mm holesaw keeping http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=9084&cat=500 as close to the top of the hole as i could
them rotated the piece which was removed 180degrees and welded it back in
at the rear of the muffler i gained a eatra inch clearance no more scrapeing even in the hardest of cornering
Benny
sorry guys carnt work out how to attach pic's their in photopost

That's a very innovative solution, wish I'd thought of it!

Just hope by pulling it up in the back you don't put too much stress on either the head or rear header mounts.I will have to asses that idea for Wendys bike.

Funny you mentioned this...I dropped off a set of hangers with Dale (Specialty Spares) last week. He wanted to look at them and see what he could come up with.

I rode yesterday and today and have not scraped again since I stiffened up the rear suspension. I have the bike dropped with 412 (11.5") in the rear and the front dropped 1" in the front. But again...I’m not an aggressive rider.

Post pics after you get them installed. Id like to see how it looks.
