Stroker McGurk was the man. One I especially remember was in 4 frames. Frame 1, titled "Something old, he was dusting off his old roadster.
Frame 2, "something new", he was bolting in a highly built 59A block.
Frame 3, "Something borrowed", he was bolting on a Roots supercharger.
Frame 4, "Something blew", he was halfway down the dragstrip in a cloud of smoke and flying pistons.

I knew the end was near when Rod and Custom changed from their pocket size format.
