Could you ask a little bit louder? I can't seem to hear you! My pipes are loud? Hum, I've got to ride behind myself one day to listen. They’re not too loud when I'm on her. I have to admit that I do use earplugs. Not all the time, but from Virgina to home I did. And on one tank of gas on the way up to Chy’s place.
See if your full face helmet has a chin cover insert. Notice that when at speed if you take your hand and cover the area of the chin guard the noise will lessen somewhat. I say this but I haven’t used the chin cover in a year or so. And you’re right, at much anything over 60 mph the noise gets worse. At a ton it's nice to duck a little behind the windscreen too.
