Thank you Tom! The Chrome work was done at a couple of different places. The wheel was done by Classic Components in Santa Ana, Ca. Link: http://www.classiccomponents.com/index2.htmlThey had multiple anodes so the chrome would throw into the hard to get to spots, That was what I was told to do by a couple of so called experts and since I didn't know better that's what I done. I had most of the machine tooling grooves removed by "hands off polishing" in Garland Tx. They done all the other chrome work besides the wheel. Link: http://www.handsoffpolish.com/I finish sanded for 30 hours (NO JOKE my fingers was bleeding!)It took about 1 1/2 weeks sanding every chance I got until the surface was completely smooth starting with 220 grit and ending with 2000 grit, preparing the wheel for shipment to get chromed. Thanks for looking. T

I've seen her in person, and she sure is pretty! That chrome rear speedmaster wheel and chrome front end should have come from the factory like that. I do think the chrome carb slide indicates some sort of mental illness however....

Looks really good, nice chrome work, it's all in the prep work you took such care in. I do stainless work too so I can relate to the time and effort in sanding. I have a set of shrouds to do but haven't had a chance to make much progress on them. My idea is to polish the shrouds and black powder coat the triple trees and lower legs. Want to eventually red powder coat my Speedmaster wheels. My tank is red and black I think it will go well.

Sometimes I say to myself "I don't really like chrome, I want to black out my bike" but after seeing that set of photos....******
How much did it cost to get those chromed if I can ask? How much did your sanding save you in "sweat equity"

Hey David, I'm not sure what I truly saved $$$ wise, I know the chromer/polisher (Frank McCarthy)(hands off in Garland) was impressed with the finish I brought to him. He offered me a job! I told him he was cracked! there was no way I would do this on an everyday basis. I done the finish sanding myself because I know from experience that the finished product is not as good if they do the whole job. I'm not busting them down It's just that I'm a perfectionist and pay attention to detail. they get it to "acceptable to most" and chrome it. The fork tubes, upper and lower clamps, tube oil caps was $125.00 I have seen $90.00 ea fork tube advertised on various sites so I would say there was "sweat equity" savings. The wheel was $275.00 but I think you can just send it to them as is they will do all for the same price. Not sure I saved anything there but knowing it met my standards when shipped to them was important to me. Thanks for looking T

Now then Terry, that looks really, really nice and the triple trees look brilliant, you want to start taking orders mate. Just love the look of the front end and the rear wheel looks great in chrome... Pricey I bet though..

Dang Terry. Seems to me that some of that time could have been spent cleaning the fire house dryer ductwork! Last August your motorsickle looked great. I bet it looks stunning now. Almost as purty as those gals at the Czech Stop. Course if you want it looking exceptionally purty, put Levi next to her. That contrast will set off the beauty of your motorsickle for sure!

Your killing me Moe! But you know Levi thinks he's purty!
Thank you so much Moe and to everyone else that responded with compliment! I am very proud of the way it has turned out so far......Meaning I'm not done yet! The tank, fenders and side cover go to the paint shop next week for a totally "non-conservative" radical(to me) paint job! If it turns out like I'm hoping it will be stunning! stay tuned.....

You need an "I Like Shiny Objects" to wear with it, kind of an ensemble...
Sure is purty.
