I dunno, I think you are misreading the Honda public. Thats where we get most of our buyers of Triumphs. Its hard to get a HD RUB off of the image machine. If they read about a mechanical fault in the rain, that bothers them. They are looking for perfect peace of mind.
I am making a general statement, yes there are exceptions.
I don't think he did Triumph any favors with that poorly written piece. A good author would have found out why the bike quit on him. He just hohums it as if it normal that you can't drive a Triumph on a rainy day.
