Regarding the running in rain problems, I live in SoCal(mostly) and so I can not testify to this little niggle as well as some bloke in weather-challenged Ol' Blighty can, and so I have no comment there. However, this gentleman does have a point when he stated the BA is "bland", but ONLY because many people on this planet mistakingly believe any "compromise is bland". And this folks is exactly what our BAs ARE!
The people in Hinckley took the classic vertical-twin and to give it a more V-twin cadence dropped a 270-crank in it. And then they styled a somewhat "Harley-esque" look to it, and then bolted a set of forward-mounted foot controls on it.
And so, what do we have here?
Well, I'll tell ya!!!
We ended up with a darn good cruiser, probably the best on the market today(but in the lexicon of these poor bedeviled folks of which I speak..."What? A Triumph CRUISER???!!!") with a SMOOOOOOOTH as freakin' silk motor in it, that you can actually have a little fun with in the twisties(or over there, those oft-timed rainy "B-roads") but all the while NOT looking exactly like your "classic Triumph"! What a NOVEL freakin' IDEA, HUH?!
(which for some reason, as I said, seems to confuse a whole lot of people who have fixed ideas about the term "COMPROMISE"!!!)
