Oh, good call. I know when I made my battery box back in '02 I had to reroute some wires and I think I had to splice at least one wire to reach. My ignition switch is almost exactly in the stock location, give or take a quarter-inch, and the fuse box is mounted right next to it.
My battery box is very heavy and hard to work around, so I'm thinking about doing something like what you two have done.
