I'm 260 and My Speedmaster performs just fine.
I have no trouble keeping up with any HD riding buddies on the highway and usually I have to wait for them on the twisty stuff  .
And I love my 16 tooth front sprocket  . The bike revs high so I can use the power band more efficiently. In fact, next sprocket change I may go to a 43 or 44 tooth rear.
