jus put my harley stock drilled out pipes on temporarily while modifyin my triumph of rd pipes fitted a k'n n filter removed the bottom of filter an drilled bottom of airbox an gor blimey govner ive got the sound!! so no qualms about guttin the triumph 'noisy' pipes now! cos i know the sound wont be far of!!an it goes a lot better with the k'n filter[with temp harley pipes]no noticable low end loss of torque in fact it seems to pull better at low revs[19t'42t] with a lovely deep rumble an a bit o thump!!i was tinglin with pleusure at the sound!![no annoyin burble like a lambretta on steroids!!]while blastin past queues of cars with seemingly less effort!! i will post some vids of the sound soon as i fix a camera to me bike!!

Yep, stock pipes and airbox rob quite a bit of get up and go. Once you let the engine breathe like it should it really comes alive. Don't forget to rejet so you don't run it lean.

they rejetted at the shop when i bought it cos i had aftermarket 'noisey'pipes fitted in the deal but will check after a few miles!!thats the nxt job ai removal![when will it end!] will check then!!

not if yopu are gutting pipes and using pods. You only get so much out of the mixture screw before you reach the max the pilot can allow through. At that point you need a new pilot (probably a 45). Then from almost 1/2 throttle on you are using the main jet and the mixture screw doesn't adjust that at all except what little is still being drawn from the pilot circuit.From there on up you are depending on the needle size and adjustment and size of the main jet.
