A quick question, does anyone know if the idle jets on the Bonneville CV carb are interchangeable with the ones on a Harley CV carb. I just had my TA run on a dyno. I am rich at cruise and lean when I accelerate. The shop works mosty on Harley's. If the JETS are interchangeable then he has everything he needs to rejet. Otherwise, I have to order.

thanks for the help

Pilots and mains are from certain carbs. HD used 3 type jets for carbs like ours. There is also a Mikuni main that works. The Mikuni head is slightly smaller but the jet size is the same and the threads are the same. I used a pair in Wendys bike. HD has an old style that is wrong and 2 differet new styles one of witch is the same as ours,if you look them up in V Twin or one of those suppliers it is the smaller ones.

OK, talked to my tuner, I want to make sure we are talking the same. The new HD CV will work for both the pilot and the main??? Are the newer pilot smaller also, or are the the same for both the main and pilot. H3e confused me. Just want to make sure I understand . thanks

The smaller of the new jets for HD will work for the main. There is a larger jet of the new style and that is larger thread so it won't work. The pilots are all the same as far as I know, I haven't heard of an old or new. Trouble with HD i have found is it is harder to get the right size because we use 2 carbs on a smaller CC engine and HD uses 1 carb for both cyl. on a larger CC engine so the jets in stock most places are too big.
