Looks like I might be in Dallas for training March 31-April3. Off the top of my head I know that Brent and Nuthin live near there. Might have to plan on imbibing some adult beverages.

Not HELPING.

Actually, you're just reinforcing my decision not to go to the class in Atlanta instead.

I'm sure we could get several guys together. Levi (wyrm) and Terry (Tmax) are in the area as is Skip (BKG). Cowtipper is over in Fort Worth, but we might be able to get him to meet up with us. It'll be a hoot! I'm looking forward to it.

Well, there's always a chance my boss will override my Dallas decision and make me go to Atlanta. I just want to minimize my flying time.

I'm just trying to minimize the time I spend with my fat ****** wedged into an airplane seat.

At least I considered Atlanta. I ruled out D.C., Chicago and Charlotte, NC, immediately.

Hey, count me in! I'm in The Colony, TX, about half hour north of Dallas. Let me know when and where and I'll be there. If we have weather like last weekend I'll ride too, 75 degrees and sunny ain't bad for Febuary!

I'm just a little north of Dallas in Lewisville. I bet I can make it. Try to avoid Tuesdays though, I have the kids on Tuesday nights while my wife goes to school.

Whatcha think fellas? Wilhoites in Grapevine? Fun biker hangout.

Somebody needs to fall on their sword and leave the bike at home. I'll be staying in the hotel where the training is taking place and won't have a car. So I need a ride. Unless somebody has a spare bike...

Oh, and I'm not riding pillion. I'd rather take a bus.

Hey maybe one you Texas boys can explain this. I travelled to Richardson last year to visit my sister & family. Dutifully following directions I exited off a multi-lane road onto North Plano Road. As I drove north on North Plano Road, it became South Plano Road. My brother-in-law explained it, but still made no sense. Something about political subdivisions.

Hint: The street signs changed color at the north/south Plano conundrum

We don't really pay much attention to those street signs- our horses can't read them anyhow.

I figure it has something to do with the fact that the world is round (or so Columbus said so), and if you go North long enough you will eventually find yourself going south. You must have have been driving for a very long time...

Hey FriarJohn. We were part of the original website back in 2003! I was called ExPat back then. I have to say I haven't been on this site in a long time : - ( My American is up to 32,000 miles and still starts first time and without a choke in the summer. ****** it's a great bike. I also have a speed triple now. Let us know what part of town you will be in and I'll pop out for a beer or two.

Message to JohnMinette - I used to live on Newton St in The Colony!

Here's cool place, very European, the folks that run it are pretty cool. Good food (sandwiches and salads), great coffee, and also beer...

Well I'm sure you've met plenty of other people with no life, they just choose to waste their time somewhere else.

Update:

The flight is booked and I just reserved a room at this Hotel:
Wingate By Wyndham - Dfw North
8220 ESTERS BLVD, Irving

Since I'm several miles from the training, I'll have a rental car, so no one needs to cart my butt around in the evenings.

I almost forgot...

It's not to late to go elsewhere if that hotel is located in a seedy area.

Wilhoites in Grapevine is maybe 10 min from the airport. Sounds like a convenient place to go (for FJ!). I should be able to make it depending on the day.

I'll have a rental car so I don't necessarily need to stay right by the airport. But you guys figure it out. I'm game for just about anything. I'm also there, and free, for four nights.

FJ,
I'll find out this week if they are sending me. It is a fancy audio engineering class and they are sending at least one of us, I am pushing for two of us so I can go too.
