i think there was a tornado in la plata that day as well and all in all turned out to be a great time!! i even ran out of gas that day at the foot of the key bridge! i'm sure it was hilarious to the cop when he gave me a full five gallon can of gas (thank goodness he was cool enough to run and get a gas can!!) with one of those funky safety lids, and no funnel, and me shivering with hypothermia - standing there with my rain suit pants split wide open at the crotch. i poured gas all over the bike, me and the ground - and then drove the 5 miles home!! the only way i'd consider the weather for cancelling is if we were truly socked in for days of rain, which rarely happens.
