On my '04 the side stand spring attaches to the stand at a triangular gusset midway along the underside of the stand and to a round head bolt/post on the underside of the frame adjacent to the side stand mount. You could probably use a hose clamp as a temporary cure for an attachment point but I'm guessing you'll need a new mount to make a proper repair.
