Those are pretty rare in the states, most people had the bathtub fender replaced with the conventional front and rear fenders

Seen many of those, one came into Hermys not too long ago. He kept it for his collection. I never liked the Bathtub bikes but would like to have a couple just to have them.

The bathtub style never caught on with the younger riders in the UK either although you did see a quite a few about. The 'Cafe Racer' style was more popular and cross-breeds like the Triton were appearing as kids in the 'trade' acquired the engineering skills and confidence to experiment.

Oh happy days......

I heard that the electrics fared better on those, but they sure looked odd. I wonder if the rectifier on my old 650 would have lasted better with one of those? I think the longest I ever got out of one was 4 months. Fortunately, I could get replacements at a radio/TV parts supply in El Monte pretty cheap.

Ah, an old Twenty-One. It would be a nice "around-towner" if it was affordable.

I"m not a great bath tub fan. When I was looking around at TigerCubs there was a tub version of that...nah...ugly. Give me clean and unfared any day.
