That is probably very true for the femder,but I did put the magnito cover back together from about 10 pieces on one of my dirt bikes with some screen and bondo,rode it for years until I finally broke a ring and that cover held together nicely and kept dirt and water out. Too much stress on the back end of that fender hanging out past the mounts with no support. Like The good Friar said best way would have been to weld strips of metal in even if after that you then molded it with fiberglass and bondo.
