We had a staff sergeant in Nellingen who drove a Messerschmidt around '60 - 61. Could be the same one, but it was gray then. I was trying to get my hands on a Kleinstouto that was parked near post engineering. Those looked like a mini TR2. I wanted to replace the Sachs engine with a Triumph twin and rework it to look even more like a TR2, then get a real one to restore and put them side by side in shows.
I was in the 504th ordinance co there.
